This guide explains how to use the StreamAlive app for Miro to add interactive elements to your Miro boards and engage your audience during presentations, workshops, and brainstorming sessions.

  1. Download the StreamAlive App`

  • Open the Miro Marketplace: In your Miro board, click on "Tools, Media and Integrations" in the left sidebar, then select "Marketplace."

  • Find StreamAlive: Search for "StreamAlive" in the marketplace.

  • Add the App: Click the "Run" button to install the StreamAlive app to your Miro account.

2. Access the StreamAlive App

  • Open the Apps Menu: In your Miro board, click on "Tools, Media and Integrations" in the left sidebar.

  • Select StreamAlive: Click on the StreamAlive app icon to open it.

3. Add Interactions to Your Board

  • Browse Interactions: The StreamAlive app will display a selection of interactive elements (polls, quizzes, word clouds, etc.).

  • Add to Board: Click on an interaction to automatically add it to your Miro board.

  • Position the Interaction: Drag and drop the interaction to your desired location on the board.

  • Repeat: Add all the interactions you want to use in your Miro board.

4. Present with StreamAlive

  • Start a Session: Click on any StreamAlive interaction you've added to your board.

  • New Tab: A new tab will open in your browser with the StreamAlive presentation live screen.

  • Choose a Destination: Select your streaming destination (e.g., Zoom, Twitch, YouTube) where you'll be presenting.

  • Connect to Session: Once you've set up your destination, clicking on other StreamAlive interactions on your board will automatically connect to the same session.

    • Note: Each interaction will open in a new tab at this time.

5. Disconnect When Finished

  • End Your Session: When you're done presenting with StreamAlive, click the "Exit" button on the presentation live screen.

  • Session Timeout: Your session will remain active for 1 hour with no comments, so it's okay if you don't use StreamAlive constantly during your presentation.
