This guide explains how to use the StreamAlive app for Elgato Stream Deck to seamlessly control your interactive live stream elements with the touch of a button.
1. Download the StreamAlive App
Open the Elgato Stream Deck Store: Launch the Elgato Stream Deck desktop application.
Find StreamAlive: Search for "StreamAlive" in the Stream Deck store.
Install the App: Click the "Install" button to add the StreamAlive app to your Stream Deck.
2. Set Up Your Stream Deck
Add StreamAlive Buttons: Drag and drop the StreamAlive interactions from the Stream Deck app to your desired keys on your physical Stream Deck device.
Customize Buttons: Personalize the buttons with custom icons or labels to easily identify each action.
3. Present with StreamAlive
Start a Session: Click on any StreamAlive interaction button on your Stream Deck.
New Tab: A new tab will open in your browser with the StreamAlive presentation live screen.
Choose a Destination: Select your streaming destination (e.g., Zoom, Twitch, YouTube) where you'll be presenting.
Connect to Session: Once you've set up your destination, clicking on other StreamAlive interaction buttons on your Stream Deck will automatically connect to the same session.
Note: Each interaction will open in a new tab at this time.
4. Disconnect When Finished
End Your Session: When you're done presenting with StreamAlive, click the "Disconnect" button on the presentation live screen (or use a dedicated "Disconnect" button on your Stream Deck if you've set one up).
Session Timeout: Your session will remain active for 1 hour with no comments, so it's okay if you don't use StreamAlive constantly during your presentation.

Organize Your Stream Deck: Arrange your StreamAlive buttons in a logical way that makes sense for your workflow.
Use Folders: Group related actions into folders for better organization.
Customize Icons: Use clear and recognizable icons for each button.
Practice Your Workflow: Familiarize yourself with the button layout and practice triggering interactions before going live.
