App Functionality
a. Creating a Presentation
Open the StreamAlive App: In your Teams meeting or channel, click on the StreamAlive app icon to open it.
Create a New Presentation: Click the "New Presentation" button.
Add Content: Import slides, add interactive elements (polls, quizzes, etc.), and customize the appearance of your presentation.
Save Your Presentation: Save your presentation with a relevant name.
b. Creating a Session and Connecting
Go to "Sessions": In the StreamAlive app, navigate to the "Sessions" tab.
Create a New Session: Click the "New Session" button.
Select Your Presentation: Choose the presentation you want to use for this session.
Connect to Teams: Click the "Connect to Teams" button and select the current meeting or channel.
c. Hosting a Session
Start Your Presentation: Click the "Start Presentation" button to begin your live stream.
Share Your Screen: In your Teams meeting, click the "Share Screen" button and select the screen displaying the StreamAlive app. This allows your audience to see the interactive elements.
Interact with Your Audience:
Launch a Word Cloud or other open-ended interaction.
Conduct a Quiz: Prepare a quiz with Multiple Choice questions and answers or Rating Polls. Ask your audience to answer the questions by typing their responses in the Teams chat.
Start a Q&A Session: Type questions throughout the session into the Teams chat.
Monitor Engagement: Track audience participation and view responses directly within the app.
d. Pre-Meeting Preparation
The StreamAlive Teams app allows you to prepare for your interactive sessions even before your meeting starts.
Add the App in Advance: For scheduled meetings, you can add the StreamAlive app to your meeting invite ahead of time. This eliminates the need to add the app during the meeting itself, allowing for a smoother start.
Pre-Meeting Engagement: Once the app is added, you can activate an interaction (e.g., a poll or word cloud) even before the meeting begins. This allows participants to engage with the content and provide input as they join the meeting, creating a more dynamic and interactive experience from the outset.
e. Analytics
Access Session Reports: After your session ends, go to the "Analytics" tab to view detailed reports on audience engagement.
Analyze Data: Review key metrics such as interaction results, top commenters, and participation rates.
Export Reports: Download reports in various formats for further analysis or sharing.
