What is the presentation builder and why do I need to use it?
Creating a presentation with StreamAlive allows you to incorporate live audience interactions, such as polls, word clouds, emoji clouds, and more.
Your presentation can have regular presentation slides mixed in with your audience interactions. Just like a regular presentation, it’s a sequence of slides that you can show to your audience using the live presentation screen.
What if I already have a presentation in PowerPoint or Google Slides?
You can upload your existing PowerPoint, Keynote, or PDF presentation, along with individual images for your slides.
While it doesn’t have the full editing, formatting, and animation capabilities like PowerPoint or Google Slides, it does allow you to build a working presentation in a way that you would be familiar with.
A well-crafted presentation paired with StreamAlive’s interactive tools can transform your live sessions, keeping your audience engaged and the session memorable by visually capturing their input in real-time.
What if I don’t want to use a StreamAlive presentation in my live session?
You also have the option to use our Quick Interaction Links which you can insert into your existing presentation and open in a new browser tab.
Here’s how you create your interactive presentation in StreamAlive. There are two ways to do this:
Using StreamAlive’s Create with AI
Start with a blank canvas
Using the Create with AI feature
The Create with AI feature allows our users to generate questions as well as the options (for example, poll options) for StreamAlive interactions using the topic and target audience that they provide as input.
Follow these steps to create interactions using our AI for your next live session:
Start by heading to the presentations tab, where you can find the + New presentation button to start working on your presentation
Click on Create with AI instead of a blank canvas.
Enter the topic of the presentation and you can also specify your audience (this is optional).
Once entered, click on Submit
Go through the generated interactions
You can also regenerate an interaction by using the Generate new button
Select the interactions that you want to add to your presentation and then, click on Add slides
You’ll find that the slides/interactions have been added to the left-side panel
Read on below to learn more about how to use the presentation editor or read about how to edit a presentation once you’ve created it using AI.
Starting with a Blank Canvas
When creating a new presentation, click on Start blank
You will be taken to the Presentation Editor.
Edit the presentation name on the top left
Click on + New slide to add a new slide

You can find the added slide on the left side panel. Here, we’ve added a poll.
Edit the heading and option of the poll here
Use the import button to upload your PDFs, presentations (PPT, KEY), or images (JPG, JPEG, PNG, SVG).
Note: Files up to 100MB and 100 slides are accepted.
You can add, duplicate, or delete a slide from your presentation using the three-dot icon next to the slide.
You can also change how you’d like to view your slides using the button on the bottom left.
Film Strip View (Left): This section displays a thumbnail preview of each item (slide, image, video) in your presentation. It acts like a film roll, allowing you to easily scroll through your content.
Center Preview (Center): This larger central area showcases a detailed preview of the currently selected item. This provides a clear view of the content you're working with.
The next step is to edit and customize your presentation. You can also learn about how themes can be used to duplicate your color schemes across your slides.
