The StreamAlive app allows the user to connect to Zoom directly through the Zoom client itself. This makes it easier and quicker for the user to start a session with StreamAlive. The StreamAlive App also allows the user to directly start Ad-hoc interactions without having to first present a presentation.

1. Open the Zoom Client and go to the “Apps” tab on the horizontal bar menu.

2. Click on the StreamAlive app under the “My Apps” section.
If you do not have the app installed, please refer to our article “How to Add/Remove the StreamAlive App

3. A new screen will appear. You can now choose to use one of your existing presentations (if any) or you can run Ad-hoc interactions for your meeting.

4. If you choose to use an existing presentation:

4a. Choose one of your created presentations by clicking on the drop-down menu

Once chosen, click on “Present”.

A pop-up will appear asking for permission to start a meeting. Click on “Allow”.

A new meeting will start with the Streamalive presentation screen opened along with it.

Now, at the top, a pop-up should appear asking you to share your presentation screen with your audience.

Click on the “Share App Screen” button to start presenting the visual interactions to your audience.

With that, you have successfully connected StreamAlive to Zoom.

4b. If you want to run ad-hoc interactions:

Click on the “ Run ad-hoc interactions” option

A pop-up will appear asking for permission to start a meeting. Click on “Allow”.

A new screen will appear with the available interactions.

You can choose to continue with the meeting window on the left side or if you’d like to focus on the StreamAlive window, follow the given steps:

Click on the “” button on the top right corner of the screen.

Click on the “Pop out” option.

If you’d like to go back to the merged format, click on the “” button and then “Merge to Meeting Window”

To continue, choose an interaction you will like to run for your meeting.

For this tutorial, we will be using the Power Poll Feature.

Once selected, you can now edit and customize your interaction feature.

You can also use the “AI Suggestions” Tool to generate and create your interaction according to your topic.

After editing, click on “Go” to run the interaction.

Now, at the top, a pop-up should appear asking you to share your presentation screen with your audience.
Click on the “Share App Screen” button to start presenting the visual interactions to your audience.

In case the share screen pop-up does not appear, use the share screen option from the Zoom meeting.

Once the interaction is visible on your screen, ask your audience to vote by typing 1, 2, 3, etc. in the chat (or A, B, C, etc. if you changed that option in the above step). However, please note that if you type “1, 2, 3” or “A, B, C” in a single comment, the bot will take that as multiple separate responses

To run more ad-hoc interactions, click on the “ + “ button at the top left corner of the screen.

A new pop-up will appear displaying the available interactions that you can choose from.
