Why am I getting a Zoom connection error?
Updated over a week ago

Error Message: "Zoom reported a connection error: The bot may have been manually removed. Learn more here."

This error indicates that the StreamAlive bot has been manually removed from your Zoom meeting, likely by the host or another participant. As a result, StreamAlive can no longer access the meeting chat and must disconnect.

Resolution:

You have a few options to resolve this issue and reconnect StreamAlive to your Zoom meeting:

  • If using the StreamAlive web browser only: Simply refresh your browser and attempt to reconnect.

  • For the StreamAlive web browser and StreamAlive app for Zoom:

    1. Restart your existing meeting: End your current Zoom meeting, start a new one with the same meeting details, and reconnect StreamAlive.

    2. Create a brand new Zoom meeting: Generate a new Zoom meeting with updated meeting details, share the new information with your audience and StreamAlive, and reconnect StreamAlive.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure that the StreamAlive bot is not manually removed from your Zoom meetings by any participants.

  • If you continue to experience this error, please reach out to StreamAlive support for further assistance.
