How to use StreamAlive in Gamma!

Perhaps you just discovered StreamAlive through Gamma? Or, maybe, you’re already familiar with StreamAlive’s unique chat-powered interactivity?

Either way, you're about to transform your Gamma cards into a live, breathing conversation. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to quickly get started.

What is StreamAlive?

StreamAlive is an audience engagement platform that works with your favorite meeting & streaming platforms, and your favorite presentation and communication surfaces. StreamAlive now works with Gamma.

It transforms the live chat (on Zoom, Teams, YouTube, etc.) into real-time visual interactions like word clouds, polls, and maps, which can be embedded directly inside your Gamma cards. 

To participate, your audience doesn't need to join a separate link or scan a QR code. They just type in the chat, and the magic happens on your screen - inside Gamma.

Step-by-Step: Embedding Interactions in Gamma

Follow these steps to integrate StreamAlive into your Gamma cards:

  1. Open your Gamma Presentation: Navigate to the specific presentation where you want to add interactivity.

  2. Create a New Card: Identify a place in your deck where an interaction would be most impactful and add a new card there.

  3. Select the Embed Option: Browse card templates, and choose the one that says Webpage Embed. Double-click the embed on the card to open the right-hand panel. In the first drop-down, scroll to the embed section and search for the StreamAlive integration from the list of available embeds.

  4. You’ll be asked for the StreamAlive interaction link. To get this link, follow the steps below:

    • If you don't have a StreamAlive account, simply sign up for a free one at streamalive.com.

      Log in to your       StreamAlive account (app.streamalive.com) and find the presentation that contains your interaction. If you don't have a presentation already, simply create one, or use StreamAlive's AI to create a whole bunch in a few seconds.

    • Scroll through the StreamAlive slide thumbnails to find the specific interaction you want to use.  Right-click on the interaction and select "Copy quick interaction link."

  5. Paste the Link: Head back to your Gamma embed panel and paste the copied link into the designated URL field.

  6. Finalize the Embed: Press Enter or the Go button to proceed. Your interaction will now appear within the Gamma card - And includes an AI preview that shows you what that card will look like, powered by chat. You can repeat these steps to add as many interactions as you need throughout your deck.

Going Live: Connecting to Your Audience

Once your slides are ready and it’s time to present, follow these steps to go live:

  1. Connect a Session. Go to any card containing a StreamAlive interaction, and choose the platform (Zoom, Teams, YouTube, etc.) you will be presenting your Gamma on

  2. Link the Meeting. Enter your meeting or session link so StreamAlive can "read" the chat. (For more in-depth guides, click here)

  3. Admit the bot into the meeting/session

  4. Start Presenting. Share your screen Just as you would to show your Gamma to your audience, and tell your audience to simply answer your prompt in the chat. The StreamAlive Embed in Gamma will transform the chat into word clouds, polls, Tetris-like tiles, maps, spinners, and many other beautiful interactions.
