StreamAlive allows you to integrate interactive elements seamlessly into your Twitch live stream.
This article explains how to use StreamAlive’s Chrome extension to read the chat from your Twitch livestream and turn them into visual interactions like polls and word clouds.
Another option is you can allow a ‘bot’ to connect to your Twitch livestream. This allows StreamAlive to find your scheduled/running live streams, connect to them, and then read the chat to turn those responses into visual interactions.
Follow these simple steps to connect the StreamAlive Chrome extension and start enhancing your professional live streams:
Add the StreamAlive Chrome extension to your browser
Visit the Chrome web store
Search for "StreamAlive" in the search bar
Click on the StreamAlive listing
Click on Add to Chrome
Confirm by clicking on Add Extension
Pin the extension
Start your Twitch Livestream
For this step, we’ll be using OBS to stream.
Activate the StreamAlive Chrome Extension
Run StreamAlive
When you click Connect, a new tab will open in your browser, displaying the StreamAlive Go Live Presentation screen.
From here, you can choose to continue with a presentation or use quick interactions if you do not have a presentation prepared.
For this tutorial, we will be continuing with a presentation we created earlier.
Choose a presentation that you have created previously and click on Apply Presentation.
Your presentation slides have been added to the live presentation screen
In OBS (or your preferred streaming software) share the StreamAlive tab by adding a source (Window or browser)
When an interaction is on your screen, ask your audience to start typing in responses in the chat.
Learn how to use the go live presentation screen if you’re not already familiar with it.
StreamAlive will then take these answers from the chat and power the interactions
That's it! You've successfully connected StreamAlive to your Twitch Livestream.
